My Experience
Hello everyone, I'm John Brower, a father to my son Jake, who became disabled at the age of 5. No, at 25, my family and I have spent the past 20 years exploring every possible avenue to improve Jake's quality of life and find ways for him to participate, despite his disability. We firmly believe in overcoming limitations and enabling Jake to enjoy life and be actively involved with our family and loved ones whenever possible.
Over the years, we have embarked on countless Journeys & endeavors to ensure that Jake can experience the same joys and opportunities as anyone else. From finding ways to take him sleigh, riding, and swimming to exploring various therapies such as aqua therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy, Botox, occupational therapy, stem cell therapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and more, we have left no stone unturned. We understand the value of sharing these experiences, so we believe this platform will be an excellent avenue for all of us to come together, exchange stories, and support one another.
While we are not doctors, we have become experts in our own right as "Dr. Mom" and "Dr. Dad," intimately knowing our children's conditions in ways that even medical professionals may not fully grasp. Although nothing can replace the advice of a qualified physician, we can pool our collective knowledge, expertise, and friendship to provide valuable support and guidance to each other.

Together, we can offer insights, recommendations, and empathy to fellow caregivers and individuals living with disabilities. Our shared experiences will help us navigate this journey with greater resilience, optimism, and understanding.
